How we protect your data

At YALI IT, security isn't just what we sell — it's how we operate. We use industry-standard managed service platform tools to monitor, maintain, and support client systems. All remote access to your systems is performed by authorized YALI staff only, over encrypted connections, and only for the purpose of delivering services you've agreed to.

We will never access your systems without your knowledge, sell your data to anyone, or use your information for any purpose beyond providing IT services to your business.

What information we collect

We collect only what is necessary to provide and improve our services:

  • Contact information — name, business name, email address, and phone number provided through our contact form or during onboarding
  • Device and system data — hardware inventory, operating system versions, patch status, and performance metrics collected through our monitoring tools to keep your systems healthy
  • Support and communication records — notes, tickets, and history from support interactions to ensure continuity of service
  • Backup data — encrypted copies of files and system data as part of our backup and disaster recovery services

How we use your information

Your information is used exclusively to:

  • Monitor and maintain your systems and respond to alerts
  • Provide remote and on-site support
  • Manage software updates, patches, and security tools on your behalf
  • Store and restore backups when needed
  • Communicate with you about your services, scheduled maintenance, or incidents
  • Issue invoices and manage your account

Third-party tools and vendors

To deliver our services, YALI IT uses a professional managed services platform that enables remote monitoring, patch management, endpoint security, and helpdesk operations. This platform is a trusted, enterprise-grade tool used by IT providers across the industry. It operates under strict data handling agreements and does not have independent access to your data outside of what is necessary to provide services.

We also work with trusted vendors for antivirus, backup, and cloud productivity tools (such as Microsoft 365). Each vendor is evaluated for security practices before being used with client systems. We do not share your data with any third party for marketing, advertising, or resale purposes.

Data security

We apply the same security standards to our own operations that we recommend to clients:

  • All remote access is authenticated and encrypted
  • Backup data is encrypted in transit and at rest
  • Access to client systems and data is limited to authorized YALI personnel only
  • We follow the principle of least privilege — no one accesses more than what is needed
  • Systems and tools used in our operations are kept patched and up to date

Data retention

We retain client information for as long as you are an active customer. Upon termination of services, we will delete or return your data upon request within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for resolving outstanding disputes.

Your rights

You have the right to:

  • Request a copy of the information we hold about your business
  • Ask us to correct inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your data (subject to our retention obligations)
  • Withdraw consent for any non-essential data use

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@yaliit.com.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy statement from time to time. When we do, we'll update the effective date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we'll notify active clients directly.
